The Drachenstich in Furth im Wald is Germany’s oldest folk play, with over 500 years of tradition. Every August the legend of the dragon fight comes to life on the town square, with the impressive dragon ‘Tradinno’ – affectionately called ‘Fanny’ by the people of Furth – as the main character. The performances take place in early August.
